Mysuru: Mysuru Airport has introduced a new Car Parking Management System aimed at improving passenger convenience, streamlining vehicle movement and enhancing the overall travel experience. The new system was inaugurated on July 23 by Airport Director P. V. Ushakumari, in the presence of Raman Sharma, AGM (ATC), and Damu D., Senior Manager (Engineering – Civil).

The initiative forms part of the Airports Authority of India’s (AAI) efforts to strengthen passenger amenities and improve operational efficiency at the airport.

Private firm awarded parking contract

As part of the new arrangement, the contract for managing the airport’s parking facilities has been awarded to a private enterprise.

The contractor will be responsible for the operation and management of designated parking areas within the airport premises. The responsibilities include ensuring smooth vehicular movement, regulating traffic and parking, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and providing prompt assistance to passengers and visitors.

Airport officials said the system has been designed to ensure a well-organised parking experience while improving the overall efficiency of airport operations.
