Mysuru: A man from Mysuru, identifying himself as an Ayurvedic doctor, is at the centre of serious allegations involving multiple women, including charges of harassment, deception, and suspected involvement in tragic incidents spanning over a decade.

The accused, identified as Vinay, reportedly operated a clinic near Hanagodu in Hunsur taluk. His activities have come under scrutiny following a complaint filed by his wife, which has triggered revelations about his alleged past relationships and conduct.

Wife’s complaint exposes past allegations

The case came to light after Vinay’s wife lodged a complaint accusing him of sexual harassment and abuse. Following this, several disturbing allegations from his past began surfacing, prompting calls from the public for strict police action.

Authorities are currently examining the claims, while the case has raised concerns about misuse of professional identity and exploitation under the guise of medical practice.

Alleged incident involving doctor colleague

One of the most serious allegations dates back nearly 12 years and involves a woman doctor, Nagashree, who was reportedly working at a private Ayurvedic hospital in Mysuru.

According to claims, Vinay developed a relationship with her under the pretext of marriage. When she insisted on formalising the relationship, he allegedly refused, citing family objections.

It is further alleged that he proposed a suicide pact and took her to a lodge in Srirangapatna. There, both reportedly consumed sleeping pills, after which he allegedly administered an overdose injection to her. The woman fell into a coma and, after reportedly remaining in that condition for years, recently passed away.

These claims are yet to be fully established in court and remain under scrutiny.

Allegations linked to another death

In another instance, a chartered accountant named Gowthami Hiremath is said to have met Vinay through social media in 2017 after returning from abroad. The two reportedly entered into a relationship.

Subsequently, she died by suicide. Her family had filed a complaint holding Vinay responsible. However, it is alleged that the case did not progress significantly at the time. Authorities may revisit this case in light of the emerging allegations.

Marriage and dowry harassment claims

A third woman, identified as Vinoda from a village near Hanagodu, married Vinay but left him within 15 days. She has accused him of demanding dowry soon after the wedding, allegedly asking her family to transfer land in his name to cover wedding expenses.

According to her complaint, the harassment escalated when the demands were not met.

Serious abuse allegations by wife

Vinoda has also levelled grave allegations of physical and sexual abuse. She claims that Vinay would allegedly drug her drinks to make her drowsy and subject her to non-consensual acts.

She further alleged that he threatened her with a weapon when she resisted his demands. These allegations are part of the ongoing investigation and have not yet been adjudicated in court.

Investigation and public reaction

The case has triggered widespread concern in the region, with many questioning how such alleged actions went unchecked for years. Locals have demanded a thorough investigation and strict legal action if the accusations are proven.

Police are expected to examine past complaints, verify evidence, and determine whether multiple cases can be reopened or linked as part of a broader pattern.

Conclusion

The allegations against the Mysuru-based individual paint a deeply troubling picture of alleged exploitation and abuse. As the investigation unfolds, authorities face the challenge of piecing together past incidents and ensuring justice for the affected individuals.

Officials have urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and allow the legal process to take its course, while assuring that all complaints will be examined seriously.
