Mysuru: Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has said that Mysuru is well-positioned to emerge as a preferred healthcare destination for patients from across Karnataka and neighbouring states, owing to its strong educational ecosystem, quality healthcare institutions, connectivity and favourable living environment. He emphasised that the city possesses all the necessary strengths to develop into a leading Tier-1 healthcare hub in the country.

The Minister made these remarks while inaugurating the MYHOPE 2026 conference on Mysuru Hospital Operations and Patient Experience, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru, on Friday.

Mysuru has key advantages for healthcare growth

Addressing healthcare leaders, hospital administrators, medical professionals and industry representatives, Dinesh Gundu Rao highlighted several factors that give Mysuru a competitive advantage in the healthcare sector.

According to him, the city’s quality of life, established educational institutions, growing medical infrastructure, tourism appeal and strong connectivity make it an attractive destination for healthcare services.
