MYSURU: Property owners in Mysuru can obtain their e-Aasthi documents through a special public service campaign organised by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) on October 28. The initiative will allow eligible applicants to submit their applications for a fee of Rs 175, with verified documents scheduled to be issued within three days.
The Prajaseva e-Aasthi campaign will be held at the Old Council Hall at the MCC Main Office on Sayyaji Rao Road from 10 am to 1 pm. Applicants will receive an acknowledgement on the day of submission, while the e-Aasthi documents are scheduled to be distributed on October 31 at 4 pm.
The initiative aims to help property owners complete the process of digitising their property records and obtain the relevant electronic property documentation. MCC staff will assist applicants with submitting applications and uploading the required documents online.
Application fee fixed at Rs 175
The total fee for the special campaign is Rs 175, comprising a registration charge of Rs 10 and a service charge of Rs 165.
Property owners are advised to bring all the required documents to avoid delays during verification. The processing timeline applies to eligible applications, subject to the submission and verification of the necessary records.
The campaign is being organised under the directions of Urban Development and District Minister Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah, with guidance from Nitesh Patil, MCC Administrator-cum-Regional Commissioner of Mysuru Division, and the leadership of MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha.
The corporation has urged property owners across all nine MCC zones to make use of the facility.
Documents required for A-Khata
Applicants seeking e-Aasthi documentation for properties under A-Khata must submit proof of ownership and other supporting records.
The required documents include:
- A registered sale deed, gift deed or another registered document establishing ownership.
- An encumbrance certificate (EC).
- A property tax receipt confirming full payment for the current financial year.
- Recent photographs of the property owner and the property.
- The property owner’s Aadhaar card.
The period covered by the encumbrance certificate depends on whether the property is already recorded in the MCC’s Khata records.
For properties already registered in the corporation’s Khata records, the EC must cover the period from the date of Khata registration to March 31, 2026.
For properties not registered in the MCC’s Khata records, the EC must cover the period from the date of registration of the ownership document to the current date.
Applicants should check that their ownership records and tax payment details are complete before visiting the camp.
Requirements for B-Khata properties
Owners applying for B-Khata documentation must submit registered ownership documents executed before September 10, 2024.
The required documents include:
- Registered ownership documents executed before September 10, 2024.
- An encumbrance certificate.
- A property tax receipt showing full payment for the current financial year.
- The Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crops (RTC) relating to the property.
- Recent photographs of the property owner and the property.
- The owner’s Aadhaar card.
The EC requirements are the same as those specified for A-Khata applications. For properties already registered in MCC’s Khata records, the certificate must cover the period from the date of Khata registration to March 31, 2026. For properties not registered in those records, it must cover the period from the date of registration of the ownership document to the current date.
Property owners should ensure that the documents submitted correspond to their property’s existing records and the category under which they are applying.
Aadhaar-linked mobile phone is mandatory
Applicants must bring the mobile phone linked to their Aadhaar card, as one-time password (OTP)-based verification is mandatory for processing applications.
MCC staff will assist property owners with online application submission and document uploads during the campaign. Applicants will receive an acknowledgement on the same day, allowing them to retain proof that their applications have been submitted.
The corporation has also made details of the application procedure available through its official website, mysurucity.mrc.gov.in.
Campaign aims to speed up property documentation
The special drive is intended to make e-Aasthi services more accessible to property owners and speed up the digitisation of municipal property records. Electronic records help maintain property information in a digital format and support the processing of services related to ownership and property documentation.
The October 28 campaign offers residents a designated time and place to submit their applications with assistance from MCC staff. However, the stated three-day timeline depends on the verification of the documents and the eligibility of each application.
Property owners planning to attend should review the requirements for their respective A-Khata or B-Khata category and carry all supporting records, including their Aadhaar-linked mobile phone. Preparing the documents in advance can help avoid delays during submission and verification.
