Former MP Pratap Simha launched a scathing attack on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of being not only anti-Hindu but now also anti-police. In his remarks, Simha questioned the CM’s decision to suspend Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda, calling him a competent and loyal officer from the Valmiki Nayak community.
“Why this grudge against a capable man from a backward community, when you claim to stand for the marginalized?” he asked. Simha alleged that the government is dysfunctional, not the police department, and blamed the CM for failing to take moral responsibility even a week after the RCB victory stampede that killed 11 people.
He criticized the CM for showing no public sympathy, saying, “He didn’t shed a single tear or visit the families.” Simha also took jabs at the CM’s political priorities, referencing the removal of Govindaraj, his political secretary, and questioning his silence over Satyavati, a celebrity allegedly involved in the controversial event.
“Is the CM running around for his grandson’s autograph while innocent people die?” he mocked, calling Siddaramaiah an insensitive leader.
Simha also countered the CM’s recent remarks criticizing the Modi government, asking, “What right do you have to grade Modi’s work? You’ve done nothing for Mysuru except make pompous speeches and distribute welfare by fooling people.”
He concluded by saying that the real achievements in Mysuru are Modi’s, not the CM’s.
