Mysuru: A tourist from the Netherlands successfully recovered her lost belongings, thanks to the prompt action of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Mysuru.
According to railway officials, the Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru, shared details of the incident on social media, stating that Renske Roos Termenlen had accidentally left behind her guitar while travelling on the MAS–AP Express.
Guitar left behind during journey
The incident came to light after Termenlen disembarked at Mysuru Railway Station and realised that her guitar was missing.
She had been travelling from Kalavai in Tamil Nadu to Mysuru when she inadvertently left the instrument on the train.
Swift coordination by RPF
Upon receiving the complaint, RPF personnel acted quickly and initiated a coordinated effort to trace the missing item. Officials worked closely with staff at Ashokapuram railway station to track the guitar.
Their efforts paid off as the instrument was soon located, secured, and kept safely until it could be returned.

The guitar was handed over to Termenlen the following day after completing due verification procedures. Railway authorities ensured that all necessary checks were carried out before returning the item to its rightful owner.
In a video shared online, Termenlen expressed her gratitude for the assistance she received.
“Hi friends, I am from Netherlands. Yesterday I was travelling from Kalavai, Tamil Nadu to Mysuru, and I forgot my guitar on the train. So, I got out and went to RPF. And they found my guitar. I am really happy. Thank you for all your help,” she said.
