Mysuru: Gopalakrishna Shetty (GK Shetty), President of the State Hotel Owners Association, recently emphasized the need for government intervention to protect and support the food industry. Speaking at an event organized by the Mysuru Hotel Owners Association, Shetty highlighted the industry’s commitment to the ethos of ‘Athithi Devo Bhava’ (The guest is God) and stressed that government support is crucial for its survival and growth.

Shetty urged hotel owners to also support each other and encouraged associations to become more proactive at the district and taluk levels. He stressed the importance of uniting hotel owners to strengthen the association and enhance the industry’s overall growth. Additionally, Shetty called for collective efforts to push for amendments in rules and regulations that benefit the industry.

The event saw the Mysuru Hotel Owners Association honor GK Shetty for his contributions. Attendees included Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda, State Vice-Presidents Madhukar M. Shetty and Ravi Shastri, former State Association President M. Rajendra, and FKCCI former President Sudhakar S. Shetty.
