Mysuru: Two young men were killed on the spot after a motorcycle collided with a ragi harvesting vehicle near the gate of Kirangur village in Hunsur taluk of Mysuru district.
The deceased have been identified as Prathap (24), son of Shivappa of Mastigudi, and Puneeth (25), a resident of Bheemanakatte.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the motorcycle was travelling from the Kirangur side towards the area and collided with a ragi threshing vehicle approaching from the Hanagodu side.
Impact of collision proves fatal
The collision was reportedly severe, leaving both motorcycle riders with fatal injuries. They died at the accident spot.
The incident has left their families and local residents shocked. The exact circumstances leading to the collision are yet to be established.
Police register case
Police personnel visited the accident spot and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered at the Hunsur Rural Police Station in connection with the incident.
