Residents of Pinewood Park apartments, located just behind the Lakshmipuram Police Station on Dr. Ambedkar Road in Chamarajapuram, are expressing concern for their safety following recent heavy rains. Among the 70 residents are children, adults, and elderly individuals.

During the storms, several branches from the trees on the footpath were broken. Despite repeated requests, only some of the debris has been cleared by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). However, a major branch, approximately 30 feet long with a circumference of 30 inches, remains partially attached to the tree. The uncertainty of when or on whom this branch might fall poses a significant safety hazard to residents and passersby.

Previous appeals to the relevant authorities have gone unanswered, leaving residents uncertain of the next steps. Serious consideration must be given to removing this hazardous branch to prevent any potential harm. They hope that this letter serves as a wake-up call for the MCC to take the necessary action at the earliest. The safety of the community depends on timely intervention to address this pressing issue.

The residents urge the MCC to act promptly and ensure the safety and well-being of all Pinewood Park residents. Immediate attention and action in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
