‘It’s students’ curiosity that moulds their decision’

Dubai: The 37th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s Namaste Teacher was held on Friday August 26 at 6.30 pm IST.

The guest teacher for the evening was Dr. Moulya Baladi. The special guests of the evening were her students, Rajesh Shetty, Journalist and Story Writer, Shrigouri S. Joshi, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru, Narendra S. Marasanige, Manager, Cooperative Society and News Reporter of a daily in Hebri and Ganesh Ravi, Human Resources, Nike India.

The event host was Kiran Nirkan.

Through teacher-student interaction, the series strives to highlight teachers and their impact on students. The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

At the beginning of the show Kiran Nirkan introduced the guests and welcomed them.

Moulya Baladi recalled, “I always dreamt to be a journalist, and it was by chance that I became a teacher. It is the curiosity of the students, which moulds the decision of the students,” she emphasised.

Rajesh Shetty expressed, “College has several magical moments. Moulya ma’am is a guiding lamp, the light that she held for me is still making me walk on the path I believe,” he said.

Shrigouri S. Joshi shared, “Moulya ma’am is the best example for impartial and unbiased teacher. Being a Science student in PUC, now if I am continuing in the field of journalism without regrets it’s because of Moulya ma’am,” she said.

Narendra S. Marasanige said, ” Moulya ma’am availed me work in college along with doing my masters. She never compared among students nor highlighted our mistakes in front of others.”

Ganesh Ravi said, “The very first article in my life was an assignment given by Moulya ma’am. In the ocean like Alva’s, ma’am made us feel special about ourselves.”

Both teachers and students appreciated the initiative of Newskarnataka for strengthening the bond of students. Kiran Nirkan expressing gratitude signed off.
