Dubai: The 42nd episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s Namaste Teacher was held on Friday September 30 at 6.30 pm IST.
The guest teacher for the evening was Saavitri S. Rao, Teacher. The special guests of the evening were her students, Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Director and Professor, Canara Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, Chandrisha Rao, Group Manager, Indian Operations Centre, ABB Global Industries & Services Ltd., Bengaluru, Asha Dilip Sulyame, Maths Teacher, Sri Vani Vijaya Higher Secondary School, Kodlamogaru, Manjeshwara, Kasaragod, Aravinda Kudla, Headmaster, Government Higher Primary School, Moodambailu, Bantwala, Jestalaxmi Boloor, Counselling Psychologist and Life Skills Trainer (Resource Person), Ayur Care, Ladyhill, Mangaluru.
The event host was Kiran Nirkan.
Through teacher-student interaction, the series strives to highlight teachers and their impact on students. The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s YouTube channels.
Teacher Saavitri S. Rao said, “A best teacher wishes the outstanding suceess of her students and added, “my students are achieving the greater heights of success”.
Aravinda Kudla said “A fluent language learning for us was possible because of Saavitri teacher. It feels good to speak about her,” he expressed.
Asha Dilip Sulyame shared, “Saavitri teacher is in my mom’s position and the one whom I believe as God. She would also train students for extra-curricular activities in her own house. Saavitri teacher has a major role in every phase of my life,” Asha Dilip expressed gratitude.
Chandrisha Rao said, “I have inculcated the discipline taught by the teacher and those values changed my life and I am reaping the fruits today.”
Jestalaxmi Boloor expressed, “The self confidence within us was inculcated through the activity hour which we had in our school. Saavitri teacher will always be cherished when recalling our fruitfull childhood”.
Saavitri teacher was responsible for the overall development of our personality told Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal.
Discussing the role of teachers, Teacher Saaviti S Rao opined, “one should not enter the field forcefully. A teacher should love and mould the students more than we do it to our own kids. As a teacher our way of life should be model to the students,” she emphasised.
