Mangaluru: Thank You Karnataka is a series of programmes organised to celebrate decennial year of NewsKarnataka and thus thank Kannadigas all over the globe for supporting the Spearhead Media Group to achieve this milestone.
One of the programmes under Thank You Karnataka series is the Womenia, a show that promotes women of impact, entrepreneurs and achievers that is aired every Thursday.
The guest of the 16th episode aired on Thursday February 2 was Pratiksha Prabhu, Team Upaasana, Dance for Happy Life. The anchor person for the programme was Ananya Hegde.
The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s YouTube Channel.
Pratiksha Prabhu reminiscing her childhood and education said, “I did my schooling only till tenth standard. And in my class seventh I had started earning.”
Speaking about her love towards dancing Pratiksha Prabhu expressed, I have no personal dance teachers. Back in school days I liked dance but I was unable to pay separately for dance class. A turning point in my life is where I was asked to teach dance to senior citizens, which stands as a foundation stone for my dancing career, she said.
My mother is the home minister and all credit for balancing career and family life goes to her. My daughter since her childhood was very supportive and I grew along with her, expressed Pratiksha Prabhu.
As an advise to the female audience she said “Post marriage don’t restrict your life towards kids and family. Never judge your self, take up what you love to do”.
