Mangaluru: Thank You Karnataka is a series of programmes organised to celebrate decennial year of NewsKarnataka and thus thank Kannadigas all over the globe for supporting the Spearhead Media Group to achieve this milestone.
One of the programmes under Thank You Karnataka series is Arogya Manthana, a show on health which is aired every Monday.
The guest of the ninth episode aired on December 5 is Dr. Jostol Pinto, MBBS., MD., DM, DNB, MNAMS, Interventional Cardiologist & Associate Professor, Department of Cardiology, Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Mangaluru. The anchor person for the programme is Dr. Anuradha K. C. of Kakunje Ayurvedic Wellness Clinic, Moodabidri.

Jostol Pinto sharing his entry towards medical field expressed, “It is a good decision taken in every stage, which brought me here.”
Dr. Jostol Pinto shed light on the difference between Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist and also shared the procedures done by them.
Sharing the experience of youngsters being the victim of heart attack he opined it to be turning out as a common phenomenon. He also explained the difference between heart attack and cardiac arrest.
Speaking on the new world of AI he expressed, “It is good to have a AI at times when there exists the vacancy of doctors. But at the same time, in matters of human life robotic error should not be an excuse.”
