Six pack bodied men on media inspired me towards bodybuilding

Mangaluru: Series of programmes are organised as well as are launched to celebrate decennial year of NewsKarnataka. This is the organisation’s way of thanking the Kannadigas all over the world for supporting the Spearhead Media Group to be a force to reckon with today.

One of the programmes that is launched on Wednesday January 4, 7.30 pm is a Kannada talk show, Sadhakara Yashogaathe meaning the Tale of Achievers. This show celebrates achievers who are mostly from diverse fields. The programme will be aired every Wednesday.

The guest of the first episode which aired on January 4 at 6.30 pm is Jagadish Poojary (Mr. India), Gym Trainer Sahyadri College of Engineering, Adyar. The anchor person for the programme is Rajendra Kalbavi, Executive Director, Dakshina Kannada Nirmiti Kendra, Surathkal.

The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s YouTube Channel.

Jagadish Poojary hailing from economically poor background had lost his strength to walk when a child itself. “The six pack bodied men’s pictures on newspapers and television,” said Jagadish Poojary as an inspiration towards body building.

Sharing his initial experience in body building competition Jagadish Poojary said, “I was not even aware of proper poses. But I was confident enough, gave my best and succeded.”

Jagadish Poojary also shared the preparation patterns and diet involved prior to competition. He shared, “There was time, I felt inferior hearing the body shaming I received being a physically handicapped but now they salute me for my achievement.”

As an advice to the audience Jagadish Poojary said, “Achieve something in your life and lead your life as a role model to the society. If not your success, support your kids in encouraging their talent, if not them then support your neighbourhood as it will give the contentment in life,” he expressed.

Rajendra Kalbavi expressed gratitude and signed off.
