One of the programme under Thank You Karnataka series is The Womenia, a show that promotes women of impact, entrepreneurs and achievers that is aired on every Thursday.
The guest of the third episode aired on Thursday September 8 is Malini Hebbar, Principal, Swastika National School, Mangaluru. The anchor person for the programme is Ananya Hegde.
The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Malini Hebbar, speaking on ‘Malini being a teacher’ shared, “It was incidental, ccidental and coincidental. Malini might have become an actor, a teacher or a dentist too. But I have no exact answer on why teaching.”
She said, “Teachers have to be visible scholars. It is quite common to make mistakes but we should have enough stuff to enrich our students and so we prove to have moral right to be a teacher.” She also said, Power of imagination and humility are two important qualities an artist should possess.
“Life is one. Do not make it difficult without having the idea of coexistence. Let us come together under the concept of brotherhood,” she emphasised to the audience.
