Dubai: The third episode of ‘Nine days Christmas Carols’, organized by Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd. (Parent company of News Karnataka.com), was aired on Sunday, December 20.
The show was compered by main programme host CA Valerian Dalmaida and co-host Rajesh Sequeira live from Dubai. The contest on Saturday was between two teams: Lancy and family from Dubai and Neel D’cunha from Abu Dhabi.
Two carol singing teams were featured in this episode: Aleena Jose & team under Gloria of Excellence and Team Br. Ashwin Rebello & team, by Jesuit Brothers, Jnanajyothi from Anekal, Bangalore.
Rohan Correa, a musician and co-founder of Konkani Prayer Group, Rupert Vaz, a renowned Singer who has been working in Abudabhi for the past 20 years and is a member and Co-ordinator of the St.Joseph Konkani Prayer Group, and Anitha Serrao, a music composer and singer with expertise in vocals, were the judges for the day.

The judges watched the videos submitted by the team and made remarks about their performance. Speaking about the first team, they said that it was a mind-blowing performance and there was good control on the musical notes.
Equally impressed by the second team’s performance, the judges said that the song was sung well and it sounded like professional singers were singing the carols.
The contest will continue till December 24 and the winner will be awarded a cash prize of INR 9,000 whereas the runner up will receive INR 6,000 and the second runner will get INR 3,000 cash prize.
