
Ola Unveils Electric Bikes, Set for Launch on February 5
Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder of Ola, has revealed the launch of Ola electric bikes, with the official release scheduled for February 5. In a post on X, he shared his excitement, stating that the new product marks the next phase of India’s electric vehicle (EV) revolution. He expressed confidence that the upcoming launch would surpass previous milestones in the EV industry.
Aggarwal posted a video of himself riding the electric bike and urged his followers to tune in at 10:30 am on February 5 for the launch. Along with this, he shared pictures of the bikes and invited people to visit the Indiranagar store for a closer look, promising a short test ride later that day.
In addition, Ola Electric recently announced it had regained its market leader position in the electric two-wheeler sector. The company registered 22,656 units in January alone, achieving a 65% growth compared to the previous month. Ola’s market share now stands at 25%, thanks to the S1 portfolio and the expansion of its sales and service network to 4,000 locations across India.
Ola also introduced eight new scooter models under its S1 brand, built on the innovative Gen 3 platform, with prices ranging from ₹79,999 to ₹1,69,999. The company emphasized that the Gen 3 scooters offer substantial improvements in performance, safety, efficiency, and reliability.
