Dubai, Feb 24: The 6th Lancy Musical Nite featuring the renowned music director and singer Lancy Noronha will be held at Dubai on May 9. The musical evening to be held under the leadership of Joseph Mathias, Director of Merit Freight Systems who is also a famed singer, will be a great treat to music lovers in the UAE.
Several noted singers from UAE will participate in the show to be held at the Emirates Speaking School Auditorium of Dubai. Ramero Mascarenhas, noted music director of UAE will be music director of the event which will also feature fascinating dance shows by Ocean Kids members. There will be a comedy show and also a magic show by Antony Mascarenhas to make the event complete.
Lancy Noronha is a popular name in Konkani music circles. He already has to his credit several musical CDs including devotional songs CDs. His talent was recognised through his participation in Tal Umalo Nite, Raymond Nite, George Fernandes Nite, Bantwal Waradowar Nite and Brothers Beat Group.
Lancy who set foot to Dubai as part of his profession won the hearts of music lovers through his various programmes.
In 2007 he formed his own music band named ‘Shylon’ to give opportunities to upcoming talents. ‘Mori Mai’ the Konkani hymnal CD composed by him was released in 2007 followed by ‘Moga Sagar’ released in 2011.
The organisers of the 6th Lancy Musical Nite are optimistic that the programme would be witnessed by a packed audience even this time.
