Abu Dhabi : The Men’s and Women’s teams of Bunts Dubai have bagged the championship in the second annual Throw ball tournament conducted under the joint sponsorship of Indian Social and Cultural Centre and Arab Udupi Group of Hotels.
The tourney was earlier inaugurated by Shekhar Shetty, Director of Arab Udupi Hotels by passing on the ball to other chief guests. Teams from Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, KCO Abu Dhabi, Bunts Dubai, Mogaveers UAE, Konkans Dubai, ISC Abu Dhabi, Mangalore Konkans, Dubai and Kanarites Dubai had taken part in the keenly contested event.
In the men’s finals, the Bunts Dubai team defeated Konkans Dubai while in the women’s finals Bunts Dubai knocked down KCO Abu Dhabi.
ISC Chief Satya Babu, Ziyad, Shyam and others were present. The tournament was held under the leadership of Sarvottam Shetty, President of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha. ISC members also assisted in the successful conduct of the event.
