Emirates Pangalites organises children drawing competition in Dubai

Dubai, May 31: Emirates Pangalites, UAE organised children drawing competition 2014 for the children under the age group from 4-12 on Friday, May 31, 2014 at “Happy Home Nursery” Karama, Dubai.

After receiving good response from the parents and children during the previous drawing competitions, this time it is the third drawing competition .

The objective of this competition is to give an opportunity to children to compete and show their talents, discover and display of their hidden talents, motivate the budding artists to blossom in the field of art.

The competition was held in four categories. The programme was started at 2.00 pm with the registration and assigning of numbers to the participants.
 
After the registration, the president of Emirates Pangalites, Mr. Noel D’souza gave a warm welcome to all the participating children and their parents. He stressed that winning isn’t everything, but participation is equally important as everybody cannot win. One child from each age group was selected to draw on the chart to declare the drawing competition open.
 
Evening session was started with a brief introduction of the three judges by the young MC. They were Mr. Madhusudhan PK. Art teacher from Melody Makers, Ms. Sudha Bhat, former art teacher from Kids Talent Center and Ms. Rinky Duragkar, former art teacher from Kids talent center and Kalagramam. The judges said that the children with their artistic skills were highly competitive and encouraged them to continue with the hobby.
 
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Joel Quadras. The chief guests for the day was Mr. Walter D’souza, Nandalike,  and Mr. Dayan D’souza. President Noel D’souza welcomed the chief guests by presenting them with bouquet of flowers. The Chief guests along with the three judges distributed the prizes to the winners.
 
In each category five prizes were awarded with prize and two consolation prizes with a trophy and certificate
 
The winner’s category is listed below:

Category A Special needy:
1st Place: Clavin Noronha
2nd Place: Rohan Joseph

Category  B (4-6) Yrs.
1st Place: Harika Sandesh Desai
2nd Place: Simona Tauro
3rd Place: Elida Madtha
Consolation: Ethen Soares and Anica D’souza.
 
Category C (7-9yrs)
1st Place: Brent Adrial D’souza.
2nd Place: Alita Olivia Mascarenhas
3rd Place: Mervin Noronha
Consolation: Adrinne  Lissia D’souza. and Calisto Abel Mathias.
 
Category D(10-12yrs)
1st Place: Rheanne Lewis
2nd Place: Melinda D’souza.
3rd Place: Ancita Mendonca
Consolation: Melissa Sequeira and Anlon Linus D’souza..
 
All the participating children were presented with certificates and gift hampers from Britannia Biscuits.
 
The entire programme was hosted by young pangalite Ms. Andriya.
