Abu Dhabi: The foundation laying ceremony to build a church in Abu Dhabi to meet the spiritual needs of expatriates was held at Mussafa, here on the day of feast of St Peter and St Paul.
Fr Savarimuttu, parish priest of St Josephs parish, Abu Dhabi welcomed Bishop Paul Hinder, OFM, Cap – Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia during a simple function, while Bishop Paul laid the foundation stone for building a new church.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Paul Hinder said that God dwells in each person and hoped the love of Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit will enable the speedy completion of the temple at the earliest.
The clergies and religious nuns from all over UAE and parish council members, including parishioners were present at the occasion.
