Qatar, April 2: Goa Welfare Association (GWA) has organised a live band performance of ‘Archies’ during the Annual May Queen Ball (a dinner dance) at the Radisson Blu Doha Hotel, on May 8, 8 p.m. onwards.
The band consists of Savio Albuquerque (drums and vocals), Minguel Lourenco (keyboards and vocals), Victor Da Costa (violin, keyboards and vocals), Armando D’Cruz (bass and vocals), Aloysius Rodrigues (lead and vocals), Antonio Nunes (rhythm and vocals) and Alacoque Morenas (female vocalist).
After 13 successive years, this GWA will mark its annual event in Doha. Besides, the association has rendered yeoman’s service, while in nurturing Goan culture and spirit among the large number of Goan expatriates.
So far, GWA efforts are in the front line to oraganise events related to the hospitality, cultural heritage; led by the Simon D’Silva, president of GWA, assisted by the managing committee and members.
DJ Glorio will enhance the music aura and Updesh Swar will compere the event.
