On your behalf and on behalf of our colleagues in the Managing Committee, we express our sincere thanks to the Mahatma Award Committee.
The journey of the last five decades was not an easy one. This is an important moment to recognize the Founding Members of the Centre, who struggled and strived to establish a small entertainment facility for their brothers and sisters back in 1967. We salute the ISC leadership of yesteryears who had spent their personal time and money to develop and improve the facilities over time. We take this opportunity to thank Padmashree Dr Yusuff Ali M.A Our Chairman, Patron Governors and General Governors for their continued support and guidance to achieve excellence in our efforts. And it goes without saying that our, dear members and your families are the lifelines of ISC, helping keep the Centre live throughout.
Most importantly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude and respect for the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Zayed who treated the Indian Community at par with the people of this blessed nation and allotted a piece of land to construct our community Centre five decades ago. Needless to say that His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, our President and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, are extending the same love and care for our Community and we are greatly indebted for their benevolence.
This award is recognition of the commitment of the Indian Community in Abu Dhabi to uphold our culture and values and support each other through their kinship.
