Kannadigaru Dubai presented a mesmerising ‘Sangeetha Sanje’ in Dubai

Dubai, May 12:
Kannadigaru Dubai in association with Scoop Events organised a mesmerizing ‘Sangeetha Sanje’ a musical evening on May 9, 2014 at Gems Wellington Primary School Auditorium.

The programme started at 6.45 pm with lighting the lamp by chief guests, Satish Venkataramana, MD of Chilly Willy Trading and Mohd. Mustafa along with President of Kannadigaru Dubai Mallikarjuna Gowda, Sadan Das and other Committee Members. Mallikarjuna Gowda welcomed the audience and opened up the musical evening show. 

Beautiful MC’s of the evening Bhagya Sadan Das and Vidya Shiv Kumar took over the stage and welcomed the audience in their own style.  Later they invited Shiv Kumar and team comprising of Deepa Hegde, Gururaj and Harish Sherigar who rendered various Kannada songs melodiously one after another with a mixture of old and new.  They were greeted with a big round of applause from the audience who enjoyed every bit of it.

The main attraction of the evening was the Trio who hail from famous two generation musician family of Dharwad, Pravin Godkhindi, Master Shadaj Godkhindi and Kiran Godkhindi. 

Pravin Godkhindi, a master of flute one can say he is close to the legend Hari Prasad Chaurassia as praised by the legendary singer of Mangalore, Puttur Narasimha Nayak who shared the stage on the same day. 

Another legend in the making was Pravin’s son Master Shadaj Godkhindi, played the drums and showed his excellence in percussion too. 

Accompanying them was Kiran Godkhindi the elder brother of Pravin who rendered the essence of table. On the whole the trio gave a superb floating flute tunes taking the audience into the magical world of music who enjoyed and at the end gave a standing ovation to the masters. 

All the three were honoured with flower and memento by the Sponsors of the evening.  Jyothi Mallikarjuna introduced the Godkhindi family prior to their performance.

Visiting legendary singer of Mangalore, Puttur Narasimha Nayak was invited on to the stage and honoured with flower and memento. On the request of the audience he sang ‘Yede Thumbi Haduvenu Indu Naanu’ a well known Kannada emotional song melodiously without background music.

Last but not the least was a rib tickling comedy show by the famous comedian Mysore Anand, though first time in Dubai. The audience burst into the laughter with his comedy and mimicry.

Organisers honoured all the artistes, sponsors and the media personalities and praised for their support in all the programmes hosted by Kannadigaru Dubai. Mallikarjuna Gowda rendered the vote of thanks and mentioned the support of all the committee members in concluding such a wonderful programme.
