Doha-Qatar: Kundapura Taluk Cricketers, a newly formed cricket association will conduct its first ever tournament on November 17, 5.30PM onwards at Old Ideal Indian school ground-Doha.
The draw ceremony of the tournmaent took place on November 9 at old Mazza Resturant Doha. Doha’s eight esteemed teams will fight to bag the prestigious trophy this year. The team captains and team managers were present on the occasion.
The program began with the recitation of Quran by Intiqab Alam. Asmath Ali addressed the welcome keynote and Mubarak proposed the vote of thanks.
The organising committee members Shezad, Ifthikar, Inteqab Alam, Shameer, Mubarak and Arshad escorted the main sponsor Akbar from Namco Builders and Developers, Iqbal Qatar Freelance group of companies, Co-sponsers Sharath from M.Pallonji, Asmath Ali Golden Trading & Decorations, Mukhtar from office solutions and Fayaz Ahmed C from Alzaman Exchange to the Dias.
The trophy and tournament brochure was unveiled during the ceremony. Community leaders TKQ president Ravi Shetty, KSQ president HK Madhu, KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed, MCC president Prakash Noronha, ICC secretary Divakar Poojary, Milan Arun, Subramanya Hebbagilu, Deepak Shetty and Sanjay Kudri were present on the occasion.

The teams are divided into two pools A & B. The knockout matches would be played between the teams and four best teams will move to the semi finals. The finals will be played on November 19.
