Doha: Mahesh Gowda, a Bengalurean and a resident of Qatar was elected to the Indian Community Benevolent Forum board committee. ICBF, an apex body of Indian Embassy, undertakes the noble task of providing succor and solace to the underprivileged members of Indian expatriate community in Qatar.
The election for 2016-18 committee was held on Tuesday, November 22 here at Ashoka Hall, ICC. Mahesh, an active social worker was elected to the panel board with clear vote against his competitors. This was really a proud moment among the Kannada community, because Mahesh served the society in various activities among Karnataka Sangha Qatar, KMCA, ICC and ICBF.
Mahesh is an IT professional working in Intercol Dyarco company and is residing in Qatar since 2009. He did his primary education in Florence High school, engineering in RITS Bengaluru and secured his masters from Indian School of Business. He is also an active Toast Master member and has given training to school children in various community programmes.
Mahesh rendered his service to community holding General Secretary Post in KSQ and Joint secretary of ICBF. Speaking to media he said, “I have got an opportunity to serve society by being elected to the board committee.” Karnataka based communities exchanged greetings and expressed happiness after Mahesh won the election.
