Qatar :Mangalore cultural Association a socio-cultural group celebrated its 6th annual day on 17th May Friday evening at Concorde Hotel, Doha.
The program began at 7.30PM with a prayer song ‘Raak Tu Deva’ sung by Veena Remimbus Pais. Later MCA President Arthur Pais escorted the Advisory committee members Jerry Pinto, Wilfred Fernandes and Felix Lobo along with the vice president Jason Quadros, Secretary Sandeep Noronha and treasurer Clement D’souza to the dais.
Arthur Pais welcomed and highlighted upcoming community programs. Sandeep Noronha read the annual report with details of the entire program organized by MCA from last year. The treasurer Clement Saldanha, read the finance report for the year 2013-14.
All the 3 advisory committee members spoke out their feelings and concern towards the Association. They praised the efforts and the zeal of all the members towards achieving the goal for the Association and making well fame within a short span of time.
Following with the stage program Children performed funny frog dance which was choreographed by Susan Rodrigues & Wilma Dsouza and supported by Hema & Shalini. Later on a small family program was conducted with spot games and housie-housie. All members enthusiastically participated in games & Winners were awarded with beautiful gifts. The games were coordinated by Aloysius Dsouza & Shalini Mendonca.
Vice president Jason Quadros proposed the vote of thanks. Very Talented Wilson Mendonca compered the program. The program was concluded with palatable Dinner.
MCA a high caliber nonprofit Konkani community group working since 2008 and well established in Gulf region after hosting a 3rd Gulf Voice of Mangalore final in 2013. MCA is working under patron of Mother Teresa also extended its open heart help towards poor school children, orphanages, and sick people in India by providing them financial help from Qatar.
MCA also announces its upcoming event ‘Audition Round of GVOM-4’ that will be on June13 at Ashoka Hall, ICC Qatar. MCA requested the participants to make online registration.
