Doha: MCC Qatar is all set to host the 14th Annual MCC Open Ladies Throwball Tournament. The tournament kicks off this weekend on November 12 and 13, at the old Ideal Indian School Grounds, near Midmac Roundabout, Salwa Road, Doha – Qatar.
This year, 6 teams namely Tulu Koota Qatar, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Konkan Stars, Al Maha, Al-Khor Community and host team MCC will participate in the Ladies tournament and vie for the prestigious MCC Trophy.
The tournament will begin with a short opening ceremony on Thursday, November 12 at 5.30 pm, followed by the league matches of that day. On Friday, November 13, the matches are scheduled to begin in the afternoon at 3.00 pm. There will be an official stage function which will start around 6.00 pm and will thereafter be followed by the final match and the prize distribution ceremony.
Speaking to News Karnataka, MCC President Norbert Corda said that the throw ball tournament, for a while now, has not just provided an opportunity for the sports lovers to give vent to their sporting talent in Throw ball, but has also been an opportunity for spectators to watch some exciting nail biting matches.
On behalf of the MCC committee, Norbert heartily invited all the sports lovers in Qatar to join the fun in the spirit of the game.
