Mogaveers’ Bahrain Organization announces academic excellence awards

Manama: The Mogaveers’ Bahrain Organization having finalized the list of deserving candidates, has announced the names of students who will be entitled to its academic excellence awards this year.


The students have been chosen in accordance with their merit in the board exams conducted by the Kanataka High School Education Department in April-2015.

The achiever’s list is as follows:

First: Mithil Kiran Kumar, Hejamadi – Kodi (97.92%), Second: Shraddha Sundar Suvarna, Kodi Bengre (97.76%), Third: Sahitya Sathish Salian, Kodavooru (97.44%). The fourth and the fifth places have been jointly secured by Jithesh Karkera, Odeyarabettu – Mulky (96.96%) and Shilpa Janardhan Kodavooru (96.96%) and Amrutha Somappa (95.68%) and Hinduja Kunder Thottam (95.68%) and Srilakshmi Shankar, Haladi (95.04%) respectively.

 Neelavar Shailesh Salian, Kundapura Kasba Vidyashri Janardhan, Karkala Nisha Ganesh, Hosabettu Pratheeka Pradeep, Hattiyangadi Sandhya Srinivas, Uliya-Ullal Phalguni Bhavani, Shivalli – Udupi Shraddha Sathish, Parkala Jayashri Salian, Kalmadi Omkar Janardhan, Kachchooru – Barkoor Saurabh Salian are the other students chosen for consolation awards by the organization. These ten students have scored above 90% in the examination.

 In view of its decennial celebrations, the organization had decided to temporarily add a few more awards to the list so as to benefit talented but financially backward students from the community. Accordingly, the organization has chosen Beejadi Manoj Nagaraj, Byndoor Poornima Narasimha and Shirror Nagashri Narasimha for the awards.

 The awardees will be bestowed with cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively along with shields and citation.   

 The award ceremony will be held under the joint aegis of the local Mogaveer Youth Association and Mogaveer Women’s Association at Bennekudru – Barkoor Sri Kulamahastri Amma Temple in the last week of October this year.

 Subhashchandra Shiroor, Girish Iddya, Kodandarama Salian, Shamith Kunder, Teertha Suvarna, Leeladhar Baikampady, Nagesh Naik, Vittal Suvarna, Bhaskar Kanchan and Raghu Kotian have served as the prime award sponsors.

Likewise, Rajesh Mendon, Suresh Amin, Puneeth Putran, Chandra Mendon, Padmanabh Kanchan, Manohar Hejamady, Sudhakar Mogaveer, Gambhir Kunder, Kiran Mendon, Praveen Baikamapady, Vinod Shriyan, Nandakishore Putran and Janardhan Tingalaya have co-sponsored the consolation awards and scholarships.
