Dubai: The Karnataka Rajyotsava and Nage Habba celebrations were organized by Kannadigaru, Dubai at Nashwan auditorium of Al Nasr Leisure Land on Friday December 20.
The programme organised by Kannada and Culture Department of Karnataka and Karnataka Janapada Parishat was inaugurated by Master Hirannayya, renowned theatrical personality and comedian
After inaugurating, Master Hirannayya said, “Our mother tongue Kannada has been a significant language in the world. Kannada is a rich language as it facilitates growth of other languages. It does not oppose other languages and does not hinder other linguists.
Both Master Hirannayya and MP Janardhanaswamy were felicitated on the occasion.
The chief guest for the event, Chitradurga MP Janardhanaswamy said that the youth must take interest in politics because they can bring about political changes in the country.
The veteran comedian Master Hirannayya performed the Lanchavatara, which is a popular political comedy drama in Kannada along with his son Narasimha, while Kannada popular comedians Professor Krishne Gowda, Indumati Salimat and Ravi Bhajantri presented mimicry, which filled the audience with laughter.
The star singer Shivakumar group of Gururaj, Uday Nanjappa, Divya Hegde and Vidya Shivakumar further enthralled the audiences with music. Jasmita Vivek presented mesmerizing dance show on the occasion.
Bhagya and Vidya Shivakumar compered the programme.
Entrepreneur Mohammed Mustafa, K J Ganiga, organizer Mallikarjun Gowda, Veerendra Babu, Sadandas, Arun Mudagar and others were present on the occasion.
