Dubai: Nama Tuluveru UAE supporting “Donate Blood save a Life Campaign” as a part of their 2013 programme concluded “Blood Donation” during the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday the 28th of July, 2013 at 8.30 PM onwards at Latifa Hospital (old Al Wasl Hospital) Dubai.

Donors came in large numbers voluntarily to participate in the event , registered themselves in the counter smilingly donated blood and returning back with a promise of coming back after three months to again donate.  Some of the donors are those people who donated just two and half months ago but enthusiastically came forward for this great cause.  There were some top executives of large institutions and also the hero of forthcoming Tulu movie.

The organisers thanked the authorities for being tolerant and supportive in the campaign and promised more contribution to the Blood Bank in the near future.  It was also great to see Presidents, Office Bearers and Members of most of the regional Community Associations of Karnataka together in one place for this noble cause. Nama Tuluveru thanked all the donors, office bearers of other regional community associations, Friends and the media reporters for their special coverage supporting the event.

As per the Dubai Blood Donation Centre (DBDC), the need for blood is ongoing and must be met every day.  The demand for blood is growing faster than the collection rate and DBDC has been requested to have an instant response to the rapid growth in blood demand which is obviously proportionate to the fast growing population of the city along with healthcare facilities. DBDC is the only blood supplier in Dubai.
