Abu Dhabi: St Joseph’s Mangalorean Konkani Community (SJMKC) of St Joseph’s Church Abu Dhabi joined as one family and celebrated a fun-filled Christmas.
Parish priest of St Joseph’s church Fr. Johnson K was chief guest of honor. Entrepreneur and SJMKC Committee Co-ordinator Leo Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. Spiritual director of SJMKC Fr. Rodson Goes delivered Christmas message and wished everyone to live with true spirit of Infant Christ and real essence of Christianity to love humanity and respect mankind.
The newly elected committee of SJMKC was introduced to the gathering and Fr. Rodson wished a great success for all the events of the committee for the wellness of Church and community.
As part of celebration, community members presented various dance, songs and other activities. Traditional Konkani Gumta singing was the main attraction of the cultural program. Also melodious carol singing also received grand applause from the audience.
Christmas Santa Claus increased the joy of celebration with his funny moves and distributed sweets and chocolates to children. Attractive gifts were given to the participants and winners of different activities. The fun-filled event concluded by distribution of traditional Christmas special dishes-Kuswar to audience.
