Mumbai: Thiya Samaj Dubai (UAE) organized scholarship distribution programme for community’s talented students at Unity auditorium, Manjeshwar, Hosangady, near Kasargod, on Sunday September 1.
Thiya Samaj Dubai (UAE) founder vice president Sadashiv Manjeshwar distributed Rs 80,000 worth of scholarship to over 60 students on the occasion.
Dr Gangadhar Banari, principal of Mangalore based Gokarnanateshwar College inaugurated the scholarship distribution programme that was organized jointly with Thiya Vidhya Jyoti, Manjeshwar, Kasargod.
The advocates Naveenraj and Sahana Sujit were the chief guests of the occasion.
The sandalwood child actor Shilpika Ucchil and SSLC top marks earner Ashwati Yashavant were felicitated on the occasion.
Satyadas B M welcomed the gathering. Adarsha B M and Sachin B M compered the programme. Nagesh B M proposed vote of thanks.
Thiya Samaj Dubai (UAE) was founded by Eshwar M Ail, journalist and former chief secretary of Thiya Samaj – Mumbai, Dubai’s veteran social worker Umesh Nantoor and Bisajakshi during 2004. It has been distributing scholarship to talented students of the community both in Manjeshwar and Mangalore since the past few years.
Thiya Samaj Dubai (UAE) president Roshan Bolar and executive Committee members expressed their gratitude in contributing towards scholarship fund.
