Hyderabad: Thumbay Hospital, Hyderabad, the leading academic hospital owned by Dubai-based international conglomerate Thumbay Group, has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), the highest national recognition and mark of quality patient care and safety. Also, the diagnostic lab of the hospital, part of the Thumbay Labs network has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The accreditation were accorded in recognition of the high standards of healthcare services delivered by Thumbay Hospital, Hyderabad.
NABH and NABL are constituent boards of Quality Council of India (QCI). NABH is an institutional member of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQUA), an international apex body which grants approval to accreditation bodies in the area of healthcare. Reports issued by an NABL accredited laboratory are internationally accepted owing to its tie up with International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC).
