Dubai: Sandhya Creations’ second super hit venture “Dhand” is all set for a re-launch on Friday, August 3, at 4 pm at the Galleria Cinemas, Hyatt Regency, Deira-Dubai. Owing to the massive public demand, Sandhya Creations has taken the initiative to organise another showing of the movie in Dubai. More shows are planned pending finalization and announcement.
“Dhand” gained appreciation wherever it was released in India and abroad, for its quality in comparison with the standards of Hindi movies and mass entertainment. Another feather in the movie’s hat is that it is the first Tulu movie to be released in Australia, with two successful shows in Melbourne and Perth. It has also successfully run shows in London, Canada, Israel, Muscat and other countries. “Dhand” was also screened in various parts of Mumbai, Nasik, Dhanu and other places with houseful shows. There were also requests from Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, the USA, Baroda, Delhi, Pune, Chennai and Bengaluru, for special shows but, this wasn’t possible due to logistical reasons.
“Dhand” has been carefully and beautifully created without compromising on the quality, line and length, with a mass social message to women folk on drug awareness.
The story, script and direction is by “Nirel” fame Ranjith Bajpe. The movie has soulful background music and songs composed by music director Abhishek S.N., with lyrics by Loku Kudla, Rajneesh Amin and U.Y. Ravichandran Sonandoor. Well-known playback singer from the Hindi film industry, Sonu Nigam & Anoop Shanker have lent their voices for some of the songs. Abhishek, Pushpanjali Suchi and Akanksha Badami are other singers who have lent their voices to the movie. Edited by Sujith Nayak and D.O.P by Karthik Mallur, the movie has stunts by Ultimate Shivu.
Starring Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty and Anoop Sagar along with Deepak Paladka, Shilpa Suvarna, Nidhi Maroli and Anvitha Sagar in the lead, they are supported by Gopinath Bhat, Pradeepchandra, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor and Sudhakar Kudroli, who is also the Executive Producer of the film.
