Dubai, Mar 9: The second year’s ‘Gauji Gammath’ programme of Tulu Patherga Tulu Oripaaga, a group of Facebook friends, was successfully conducted recently with the enthusiastic participation of members.
Over 100 members joined the celebrations held at the Zabeel Park at Karama. Reethu Anchan, leader of the organisation welcomed the gathering. Balakrishna Salian, Vice President of Mogaveers UAE and Anand Salian, actor of ‘Nirel’ fame inaugurated the event by playing the traditional Chennemane game.
The members were divided into four groups and various events like tug of war, kabaddi and other fun games were organised. There were special events for women.
On this occasion, the certificate of appreciation provided by the Dubai Government to the blood donation camp conducted by the group at Latifa Hospital in Dubai, was handed over to Premjith, Founder of Tulu Patherga Tulu Oripaaga by Balakrishna Salian who is also the Convenor of the Blood donation unit.
Satish Ullal, patron, Deepti Salian, actress of ‘Nirel’ fame, Premjith, Chief of the organisation and others were present. Mementoes were presented to the groups which won highest points in the contests.
