Doha: Indian veteran Cricketer and best 90’s wicket keeper Nayan Mongia will grace the inaugural ceremony of ‘Nation cup -2015’, informed the Organiser Imtiyaz Hasan.
Addressing a press meet, Imtiyaz said that the prestigious Nation Cup soft ball, Flood light cricket tournament will commence on December 17 and will go up to December 24 2015 at the Old Indian Ideal School ground-Midmac Roundabout, Doha.
“The inaugural ceremony will commence at 6.30pm and league matches will be held until Dec 22. The semi-finals will be held on December 23, and the final matches will be held on the 24th. This year 5 teams will be representing India, 1 Team from Srilanka, 1 team from Qatar and 1 team from Pakistan are participating in coming tournament”, he said.
The draw ceremony was held on December 10 at the Grand Palace hotel-Doha. The team representatives and captains were present on the occasion.
Toast Master Sudhindra read out rules-regulation of match. Match official Coordinator Imtiyaz escorted the main Sponsor Chief Guest of the evening Qadnet Chairman Indrani to the dais. Match official Coordinator Dr. Sanjay Kudri , KSQ past sports secretary Anil Boloor were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Indrani called the teams to come up with real team spirit and fair play. Imtiyaz Hasan proposed vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with sumptuous dinner. Team details are as follows:
Pool A: Hazara XI-Pakistan, Tusker-India, Shark-India, Hanan-India.
Pool B: SSC-Srilanka, Greatwall-India, Friends Circle-India, Qad-Net Qatar.
