Abu Dhabi: ‘Yaadon ki Baaraat’ a musical evening featuring melodious songs from super star Rajesh Khanna films, mesmerized the gathering at the glittering India Social and Cultural Centre Auditorium here on Thursday, April 10. Several famed singers contributed to the success of the event organised by the Broadway Events.
Flavia Sera, director of the Broadway Events, Sachin Noronha, BDO of Broadway Events, Leo Rodrigues, Director of Al Mazraoui Automobiles, Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld, Sarvottam Shetty of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, Natrajan, President of ISC and other dignitaries lighted the traditional lamp marking the inaugural of the function.
Well-known singers from the coastal belt namely Anitha Samson, Srikanth, Ranjan Das and Mohammad Haneef rendered various evergreen songs reminiscing the musical glory of the ‘80s.
The music for the event was by the renowned director Pappan and his team. The programme was successfully anchored by Prem Kumar in his distinct style through Shayiris and details of the songs and the films.
The musical event presented by the Broadways Junior Band 24×7, a group of music talents from Indian High School Abu Dhabi was the special attraction of the event.
The singers and all those who contributed to the success of the event were honoured by presenting them with mementoes.
A Raffle draw contest was also organised by Valerian D’Almeida, President of KCO Abu Dhabi conducted the draw. Rupert compered the programme.
