Protest in Kalaburagi against child rape incident turns violent

Over a thousand activists from various groups, including the Banjara community and VHP, staged a protest in Kalaburagi against the recent rape of an 11-year-old girl in Yadrami. The protest turned violent, with stone-pelting at vehicles and shops near the Mini Vidhana Soudha. Leaders called for capital punishment for the accused, a school head, and blamed the rise in such crimes on the current Congress government. The incident occurred on December 2, with the protesters blocking key roads in the area.
