Raichur: Two goats were killed in a leopard attack in Kallur village of the taluk late on Wednesday night.
Leopards attacked and killed two goats at the residence of Bandi Mohammad on Dinni Road in Kallur village.
Bandi Mohammad said, ‘When I heard the goats bleating, I rushed to the spot and saw two leopards fleeing.’
This incident has heightened anxiety among the villagers, who are demanding immediate action to prevent such incidents in the future.
Forest department officials visited the site and confirmed the presence of a leopard in the area. Regional Zonal Forest Officer Suresh Alamela stated that traps have been set up to capture the leopards.
