Udupi: Harsha, the well known electronics retailer of Karnataka with 11 branches across the state sold four iphone 6s phones on launch day. The reputed store commenced sales of the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus simultaneously with its release across the country. Both its modern state of the art flagship stores at Mangaluru and Udupi, stayed open beyond midnight on the day of the launch on Oct. 16 to accommodate the high no. of footfalls that the stores witnessed to see the new Apple products.
4 iphone 6s phones were picked up by 4 eager customers on the first day. These included Raghavendra Shenoy, Indrali Udupi, who purchased a 6S 64GB Gold iphone at Harsha’s store at KM Marg in Udupi. He was presented with the phone by Ravindra Kamath, Asst. Manager, sales and Dheeraj, assistant, sales of the store.
Two other iphone 6s Plus 64GB Gold iphones were purchased by Shivaprasad and Harish of Udupi. They received their prized possessions from B. Subramanya Rao, Manager Customer Relation, at Harsha’s flagship store on KM Marg, Udupi. A fourth iPhone 6s 64GB Rose Gold iphone purchased by Noopur Sighania was handed over to her at the Harsha store on Kittur Rani Chennama road Udupi by Shailesh Kumar. S, Assistant, Sales.
The iPhone rollout in India was the fastest in recent history with the phones being made available less than a month after going on sale in the US.
With the launch of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, prices of the previous generation iPhones have already been slashed.
While there is no increment in screen size in iPhone 6s (4.7-inch HD) and iPhone 6s (5.5-inch Full HD) compared to last year’s models, the phones feature a new 3D Touch display technology, which allows the screen panel to differentiate between types of touches and taps in preloaded apps as well as on the home screen.
Along with the standard silver, space gray and gold colours, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have also been launched in a new rose gold hue.
