Delhi: Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday November 16 said that the suspended Twitter blue tick subscription will be relaunched on November 29.
Taking it to Twitter Musk said, “Punting relaunch of Blue Verified to November 29th to make sure that it is rock solid.” He also said that the blue check will be lost if someone changes their verified name “until name is confirmed by Twitter to meet terms of service.”

The Tesla CEO has previously stated that Twitter Blue tick verification would likely “come back end of next week.”
Previously, only verified accounts of public figures including journalists, politicians, and well-known people could have the blue tick mark. But earlier this week, Twitter launched a subscription option that is available to anyone willing to pay. The social media platform had agreed to charge users $8 to get the premium blue tick verification badge.
However, as the service was launched, a large number of fake ‘verified’ accounts started to appear on Twitter, forcing the platform to reconsider its initial decision. The subscription-based blue tick verification badges were suspended by Twitter on November 11.
Twitter users shared their responses to Musk’s recent tweet.
“A bad idea does not become a good idea if just pushed by two weeks,” responded a user to Elon’s tweet.
Another user said, “So what exactly is being “verified” now? As far as I can tell the only thing the blue tick does is verify that you paid $8.”
“Wasn’t it rock solid until you messed it up? Just restore the blue check mark to what it was. Make a green check mark for $8 bucks a month with premium features for the rest of us. It is not rocket science,” wrote another person.
“Wow, you’re still going through with it? I’m punting my hopes for this platform to make sure I’m not disappointed when you inevitably drive it into oblivion after blaming everyone else,” said another user.
