Shivamogga: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has assured that women will be given more priority in the budget this time.
He launched several programmes at PU College Anavatti including a Tank filling scheme of Mooguru. This time the budget will be presented on the 8th March and women will be given more priority in the budget, he said.
The 234 crore project was launched at Anavatti in Soraba taluk. There was a financial difficulty due to Covid-19. but it is being managed through other sources. The government has resolved to engage in developmental work by taking loans.
The budget will provide more amenities for women. He said that more emphasis will be given to the development of Soraba Taluk.
31 tanks are being filled by bringing water from Varada River through the Mooguru lift irrigation. If the officials are sincere, the public will be benefitted. If the project is postponed, it would become 125 crores next year, said CM.
MLA’s have demanded more funds for the development of the Anavatti project. Looking at the economic conditions of the State, priority will be given to Anavatti.
