The Diocese of Shimoga is grieving the loss of Fr. Paul D’Souza, a respected priest who passed away on August 3 at 9:40 pm at Fr. Muller’s Hospital in Mangaluru. He was 51 years old. Fr. Paul had been battling liver-related health issues for several years.
Born on December 10, 1972, Fr. Paul was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Shimoga on May 4, 2004. His pastoral work included serving as assistant parish priest at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Shivamogga, parish priest at St. Anthony’s Church in Sharavathinagar, Shivamogga, and parish priest at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Manger. He also held the role of correspondent for Assumption School in Hiriyur.
Fr. Paul’s contributions to the community and his dedication to his faith were deeply appreciated. His funeral service is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 6, at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Shivamogga.
