A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon near Devikoppa in Shiralakoppa, Shivamogga, resulting in the death of the driver of a car traveling from Shivamogga to Anavatti. The collision, involving a private bus traveling from Anavatti to Shivamogga, also caused minor injuries to some bus passengers.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus was speeding and lost control, leading to a head-on collision with the car near Devikoppa. The impact of the crash was severe, heavily damaging the car and resulting in the driver’s immediate death at the scene.
Police authorities, upon arrival at the accident site, faced difficulties in extracting the driver’s body from the badly damaged car. Eventually, they managed to retrieve the body and transferred it to the government hospital. The identity of the deceased driver has yet to be confirmed.
