A 48-year-old woman from Kulshekar lodged a complaint on Wednesday, accusing a man of misbehavior with her at her home.
The incident took place at around 12:40 pm on December 6, when the suspect, 25-year-old Sayyed Nahim from Shivamogga, allegedly hurled verbal insults at both the complainant and her niece.
Upon receiving the report, local authorities acted swiftly and summoned Nahim to the Kankanady police station for questioning. It was discovered during the investigation that Nahim had known the woman for about a year. He had come to Mangaluru for personal reasons and decided to visit her residence. A financial dispute reportedly led to the heated exchange between them.
In light of the complaint, the police have registered a non-cognizable report (NCR 1199/2024) and initiated a petty case against Nahim for further probe and action.
