Bengaluru: Abhishek Ambarish is all set to star in Pailwan Director S. Krishna’s next movie Kali. Sapthami Gowda of Kantara fame is the heroine of the movie.
On Monday November 28, the makers officially launched the film with a simple ceremony in the presence of the lead actors, producers and technicians. Kali is a love story of a Kannada boy and a Tamil girl set in the backdrop of the Cauvery riots of the 1990s.
State award winner S. Krishna has worked as Director of Photography in more than 25 films and delivered hits like Yash starrer Gajakesari.
Kali is Krishna’s third project under his home banner, RRR Motion Pictures. “Our production house has established its presence on television with mega-hit serials over the past 8 years and our first production was with Sudeep’s Pailwaan. Had all gone well, our second venture would have been with Puneeth Rajkumar, which did not take off due to his untimely demise.
