Ninasam Manju’s Kanneri has already raised a lot of expectations from fans owing to the unique content of the film. The search of a livelihood by the homeless, the challenges faced by women who come to the city from villages to earn a living…these are some do the issues that have been showcased in a commercial manner yet in a way that it touches your heart by director Manju.
Kanneri which is based on a true life incident that unravelled in Coorg a few years ago, is about tribals who lost their homes in the pristine forests of the region owing to the effects of deforestation. With a powerful message about modernisation, Kanneri is bound to tug at your heart strings with its innovative and strong content. Already the song, Betta Kanivegala Hotteli Goodu Katti has appealed to fans and now the next track titled Kaanada Oorige Coolige Horatavale has once more made a place of its own in the hearts of fans.
A girl who after having born and raised in her parental home, leaves for the city in search of a better future. But the challenges and difficulties she faces is a story on its own. The above song summarises this situation and has been beautifully put together by Kotiganahalli Ramaiah. It has been sung by Keerthana Holla and Indu Nagaraj. Having been written based on the Diddalli incident, Kanneri has also drawn inspiration from Ksheera Sagar’s book “Jenu Akashada Aramane.”
The film which has already made a huge sound at various film festivals, will release shortly.
