Mangaluru: Reiterating the allegation that the movie Kantara insulted Dalits, Dalit organisations met the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner again on Wednesday November 23 and tried to convince him to take suitable action.

The organisation stated, “Dalits are portrayed in a bad light in the film. Therefore, those portions should be removed and action should be taken against the Producer and Director of the film for insulting Dalits.”

“If no action is taken even after this, a case will be filed at police stations across the State,” said Samata Sainika Dala’s Lolaksha.
