Kanneri film which is all set to release on March 4 has been making all the right noise in the industry and amongst fans. The film which has been directed by Ninasam Manju has been based on a real-life incident. After receiving praise from all quarters, now the movie has fetched appreciation from none other than minister Satish Jarkhiholi.
The song Ee Gali Tangali’s lyrical video has just been released and Satish Jarkhiholi has expressed immense praise for the track. Jarkhiholi has mentioned that the song is immensely melodious and has a lot of appeal and will surely mark its presence in the hearts of people.
The three songs that released previously have also similarly got a lot of love from fans and so did the trailer. Kanneri is a woman-centric film and the story that it is based on is a rather strong one. It had occurred in Coorg and is inspired from the Diddalli incident. Along with this, a thread from Ksheera Sagara’s novel Jenu Akashada Aramane has loosely lended inspiration to the film. Kotiganahalli Ramaiah has written the storyline, while the screenplay and direction has been taken up by Ninasam Manju.
Kanneri is a take of people who envision and live their life in the lap of nature but what happens to them once they are evicted from that region, the horrors that the women of that group undergo and the major turn that their life undergoes after.
While Archana Madhusudan plays the protagonist, Anita Bhat, Arun Sagar, Karisubbu and MK Math play other prominent characters. The film has been shot realistically and captured in places like Bangalore, HD Kote and Kolar. Ganesh Hegde has done the cinematography while Manikanth Kadri has lent music and Sachin Nayak is the editor of the film. The film will hit theatres on March 4.
